Þangað til segi ég bless

Thins not happening

I apologize for the lack of updates recently. I've been reading a very insteresting book and many things have been going trough my mind lately.

One thing happend though. I got an Sms saying that i owed "Siminn" (síminn telecom) 15.000 kr for phonecalls i made in Cuba. I said to myself "that just doesnt add up". I contacted Síminn and found out that when my phone was stolen in Cuba "oh didnt i meantion? my 60.000 kr phone got stolen in Cuba" anyhow, they said that there was a phonecall made for 15.000 at the time that my phone was missing and the asstard that stole it phoned Spain for 51 min. The only good thing that came out of all this was that i got the number i called :)

Pictures, pictures, pictures

Well as promised. Pictures from Cuba.

Now i uploaded around 70 pictures of the 500 i took but i would say these are the cream of the crop.

Me and my mates also took video but i don't have a clue on how to get it on the net. When i finish editing it i might find a way.

Bonus

Bonus entry.

Im sorry for the lack of updates recently. I've been working late and i've been pretty lazy since i've been back and not to mention i've been trying to remember just what the fuck i did in cuba :) i've lost to many braincells in the "all inclusive hotel" where all the alcahole was free" tequila sunrise anyone? Well the pictures should be up soon i have absoloutly no excuse for not uploading them. Funny thing tho. I had all my 600 pictures from Cuba on my laptop wich i always have at work. When i thought about the blog and uploading the pictures "this was the second day i was back home from Cuba" i decided to transfer all of them to my work computer and then burn it on a cd wich i could bring home. Just as i finish transfering the pictures i start listening to some awful salsa song wich i had on a disc from cuba and BOOM, my computer freezes. I admit, theres not much of a BOOM sound when a computer crashes but to add to the effect and drama... the drama effect (wich was at its high point) i decided to say "BOOM"... "CRASH" was also an option but it sounded like a building falling apart or to cars hitting each other. Ok i admitt "BOOM" is more of a weapon sound then a computer crash but i like it so leave me alone. Ok back to the story if i may.

Computer crashes "BOOM"

500 pictures from cuba on hard drive (didnt i just say 600?)

Computer reboot

Computer makes weird noises

Computer says "click, click, click"

Thor know that sound from when his hard drives crash in his PC desktop computer at home (AND THAT HAPPENS ALOT) one drive died just before i left for Cuba and one just when i returned...)

Laptop none responsive, only click, click, click

All pictures from Cuba gone

Except for the backup that the genius Thor made 2 minutes prior to the crash.. i mean the boom.

So there you have it. I thank the people that read this blog caus if nobody read it, then i would have been four times lazier regarding the pictures and would'nt have copied the them. And then my friends... then all the pictures would have been doomed.

So thanks again and i'll be blogging some entries shortly... meaning when i have the time or remember something from my visit to Cuba :)

First night in Havana

Entry 1.

Ok so this is the first entry of some of the things that happend to us in Cuba.

We had just arrived in Havana somewhere around 5 pm or so and were excited to check out the famous capital at night. We started at the lobby bar but shortly got tired of it and decided to head downtown.

When we arrived downtown we had no clue of where to go. One of my friends (we were four btw) said that he had a friend that had visited Cuba before and knew of this faboulus club nearby. We looked at each other and said to ourselfs, well why not. We started walking some roads and the only clue we had was that the club was near Capitol. (a replica of the house of congress in U.S.A... only slightly bigger)

We took a a right turn from the main road where some people were walking when suddenly this huge guy that looked like a bear started walking along side us and was trying to convince us to go to his place wich was just like ten meters from us. We said "no no we are just trying to find a club" then he said "nono come here, beautiful girls, good alchahole. Sure enough we were more convinced when he said "Beutiful girls and Alchahole" but i myself had previous experiences of guys trying to lure people into some dirty clubs that were no good. Two of my companions said "ah why not, we will never find this club anyway, lets check it out" i decided "ah what the heck, first night in havana, what can go wrong".... indeed what can go wrong and WHAT GOT WRONG...

We sat down in this (not a club "BAR" and even if you could call it a bar it only had like 7 seats or so. We sat down and BAMM four girls sat beside each and everyone of us. The Teddy Bear closed the door and stood in front of it. No one in, no one out. A tiny guy in a pimp suite show out of nowhere and starts talking to us in english. We look at each other... and we don't like this BUT we none the less order four bears just to buy something before we get the hell out. "Bartender, could we get four bear" Pimp guy: No four mohitos (it's like their national drink or something) We stare at each other and save the trouble (and our lives) and go with it. The bartender comes with four mohitos and slamms also four none alchaholic colas beside the mohitos, what the fuck? i ask myself, i didnt order any cola.... well figures, it's for the girls. "ok guys, we've been had, it's obvious what this is" Like we shouldnt have got all the signals and figured it out sooner... Fucking new comers... Anyway... we start sipping those mohitos (kinda scared but not pissing in the pants scared)  and man were the girls ugly... is ugly to harsh? you see there are three kinds of hookers in Havana, the girls that sit in clubs and choose you, the girls that follow you around and the girls that make pimps bring you to them. yea they were the worst kind and we were getting the hell our of there, the only thing was that werent... we could'nt the the fucking huge teddy bear was at the doorway and there was no way they were letting us out. We started to panick slightly untill we hear some sound outside and the door opens. We look carefully to see who would dare to play gandalf the grey against the Balrog Khazad-dum... well ok more like HUGE teddy bear agains Gandalf.... you can guess three times...

No it wasnt a some drunk idiot stumbling into the wrong party

No it wasnt a huge german tourist looking for trouble

And No it wasnt some co-worker/co-pimp

It was the fucking Cops...

Boom four cops walked into the bar.

Four tourist with four hookers at each side drinking with them

Four tourist oblivous of the consequences of being caught with hookers asked for the check...

We were now officially piss in pants scared and the only thought that came to our mind was a soft bed in a four star hotel or a wooden plank in a rotten cell with four not so happy Cubans.

While the thought passed our mind the check came.

60 pesos

Your probably wondering now. 60 pesos? that can't be that bad i mean theyr paying for bear in italy like 7000 liras or something.

WRONG

60 pesos is like 60 american dollars

They just fucked us over and even with the cops beside them.
Well we were done for the night looking for adventures and the only thing we wanted was to have more days as free man in Havana. We paid the check and got out while the cops were still talking to Teddy bear and Mr. Pimp.

We got on the street and were like 30 meters from the bar when Mr. Pimp came out and wanted to show us another place he knew (what the fuck is with this guy, does he take us for a complete jackassess?) eh yes and thers a good reason for it. We were a total jackassess getting fished that easily, it was like fishing a fucking shark from a goldfish tank. Man never again. We said "sure show us" he went a little head of us to lead the way and turned left, meanwhile we just made a right turn and walked quite fast away. Safe to say, we were back at the hotel sooner then we expected.

To make things even more interesting, we hear that some other four icelanders got into the same trouble and they were charged 300 pesos... yea 300 bucks and they didn't even have that kind of cash on them. So two were held hostage while the other two went to the hotel to get the rest of the money. Meanwhile, when the two hostages were waiting they saw some german guys sitting there also and they got the check. The germans (like germans do) stood up and said "No" they sure as hell werent going to get fooled into this... the bartender excuses himself and returnes with a shuffle in his hand and raises it... The germans were out of the bar quickly 300 pesos poorer.

So we kinda got lucky... i guess... if you look at it that way i mean...
